Yashieka Fearon, a young lady from Manchester, Jamaica joined Sol Adventurers’ mentoring program. As we learned her story we knew we needed to do what we could to help. Yashieka graduated top girl in her class, attaining all straight A’s and a full scholarship to her #1 choice school, Howard University. We are currently in Jamaica with limited Internet but so many amazing projects in the works. We now have a likkle blue cottage at Sister Jackie’s House of Love to accommodate volunteers if anyone would like to come lend a hand. So many crops growing on this rich soil including ocra, corn, yam, pumpkin, scallions, garlic, and so much more. Sol Adventurers will be in Jamaica for the next three months. We arrived about a week ago and are developing our projects for this year. Sister Jackie’s House of Love and the youth have moved to lush, rural farm land in St. Ann’s near Brownstown.
